More water overnight with the river having risen providing good running water for what fish are left.

Further rain in the outcome so hopefull fish will get well upriver..  Still no final salmon toital from WUF.

I see the Tay are reporting a good uplift in catches this season with possibly over 5,500 captures Seems that Doctor David Dumnmers wants to take much of the credit.  Remember him.  Years ago came to advise the WUF as to a way forward on the Wye.  Told them habitat improvement was the best way forward not a hatchery.   He then went on  some time later to run the Tay Hatchery.   As for the 5,500 captures this figure wouldn't get a mention in the hey day of the Wye catches..

Some good signs on the Severn too with the leaping salmon at Shrewsbury weir drawing many onlookers and photographers
