Just when you thought it couldn't get an worse news in today's Guardian suggest that 'farm nature payments' may be scrapped.  These were intended in lieu of the EU susbsidies.

An analysis reports that this may increased river pollution in the UK by 20% if these subsides for protecting the environment are removed.   In today's mess does anything surprise you any more.
