Well three more from Wyesham  15lnbs and two at 12lbs  Pretty much zilch everywhere else though I understand Bigswier may have had several more.

Upper river is just a barren wasteland now and next to nothing off the middle river pretty much too.   Desperate times for most.    Pretty much the same on other rivers too such as the Tweed, see below.

However the rate of catches falling away has been more horrendously apparent on our own river Wye and whilst many bodies such as WSA are making attempts to try and get some improvements we seem to be making little progress.  On of my main concerns over the years has been just why WYE owners, with a magnificent and valuable asset  seem happy to sit on their hands watch it go down the drain.  The old Wye Salmon Owners Association would not I believe have  allowed this to happen without putting up a fight, legal or otherwise.  Some owners of course solve their conscience be donating sometimes considerable sums to WUF or the Wye Conservators(who????) at least half of which is filtered down as wages to Clip board pen pushers trying to keep farmers onside in the hope they might co operate whilst everything falls down around them.

I just wonder what Maj. Gen. Hopkinson would have made of this scenario?   Is there no one else out there of similar stature to take the fight to the door of NRW/EA and the polluting water companies.
