Well nothing much changes it seems   Most of the river seemingly devoid of fish apart that is at Wyesham who reported six fish yesterday between 10 and 15 lbs on a mix of fly and spinner. Nothing reported yet today though WUF don't work weekends!!

Nothing else apart from a 7lb fish to Robert Macdougall  from Goodrich on fly.?

The sewage outfall at Redbrook still causes cause for concern despite denials from NRW that its not seemingly a problem.   Wonder if any salmon wishing to find a lie in the river below it would agree.

One angler had a surprise yesterday foul hooking a large 3foot long lamprey in the cheek on a F?C and which  apparently gave a good account of itself before being released.

Watching a large group of sand martins today made me wonder if they know something we don't   They seemed to be nesting in the riverbank just 4feet or so above the surface of a rock bottom river.  a decent spate would seriusly wash them out but perhaps they are aware of a long dryish summer.

Seems the Lugg Farmer who damaged the river on his land pleaded guilty to seven charges relating to the incident.  He will be sentenced later.  Should be interesting!!!!
