River levels continue to fall.  No hope of new fish on the upper beats which really are on their bones now.

No real rain in the offing either its seems/

One fish of 18 1/2lbs reported from Wyesham but nothing else from the lower beats so far.

Just been reading the latest from WUF regarding their ROAR project.   Introductory photo shows large woody debris being put alongside a smooth mud bank to protect from erosion.

Well sorry in my experience on the river this will introduce huge turbulence through that woody debris when in spate having the opposite result to whats required with more erosion not less.   Still what do I know.???
