Another fish from Weirend this time to Jon Daniels 12lbs. He also contacted two more fish this morning but both came off. One was a big fish apparently. Tough luck.
A few inches of extra water following yesterdays heavy showers which may help the upper beats a little.

Every now and then you come across something that's really makes you wonder just who are in charge of the Government or the bodies responsible for our infrastructure. Take for instance the one below.
Just how is it that NRW who can come down so hard on a building company who caused some silt pollution to the river Gavveny, (ok they were in the wrong,) and yet just around the corner perhaps and certainly up and down the Wye and Usk valleys water companies can pollute at will thousands of times a year and no action is taken Not forgetting the farm pollution and other big utilities. Almost half a million pounds in fines while the real polluters escape scot free. Makes no sense whatsover
