Wuf report a 10lb salmon from the Rectory, A coloured hen fish apparently on a small Sunray Shadow!!

Otherwise nothing to report really apart from the distressing sight of a badly diseased salmon seen at Ballingham

Regarding my two days at Clywedog,  Good well run fishery with good boats and reliable motors.

First day was a heavy overcast but with a strong surprisingly cold wind blowing throughout the day.  Fish didn't seem to mind and most people caught fish on dries and other methods easily enough

The second day was rather different with a lighter wind and odd brighter spells.  Fish however had switched off and everyone seemed to struggle as did I and my boat partner.   Late afternoon I switched to a very small black palmered fly I tye by the dozen for a friend in Scotland and had three fish in ten minutes and several other offers to end up with five.   Mostly good quality fish mostly 1 1/2 to 2/12lbs
