River remains much the same  though freshened a little by recent showers.

See below the salmon catche recorded by WUF   No idea who the angler was however, though the Nyth can always surprise with fish in low water as I know only too well.

Nyth & Ty'r Celyn : One rod on 21st Aug.... 4 salmon 9lb, 9lb, 11lb & 13lbs and one lost all on tiny cascades.

Beavers,  It had to  happen didn't it apart from the fact farmers, landowners might be our allies in this nonsense.

Regarding Clywedog-   Well run fishery, good boats and engines and staff.

Two very different days.  Day one was a heavy overcast and a really cold gusty wind,  Fish were up for it however and a limit on the dries.

Second day was much the same weatherwise though a lighter wind,  Fish were not having it though and it was a struggle,  Managed five again all on dries and a switch to much smaller fly gave me three in ten minutes and pretty much saved the day mid afternoon.  Woukd go again. Mount Inn in llanidloes was a decent overnight stay.
