Sorry no report yesterday.  Problem is there is nothing but depressing news to report.

Mercifully its a little cooler but due to the low water, possible pollution the threat to our river remains a real one.   Additional report of further problems on the Edw which is badly discoloured with the suggestion its due to washings from a wind farm.  Little thought seems to have been given as to how to dispose  of their waste water.  Once again it seems NRW are nowhere to be seen and heaven only knows where all this will end up.   Still talk of heavy showers but not so far on the upper catchment that's for sure  Some promised for today but dry again by the weekend.   At least no further reports of major fish deaths as far as I know but there is not a big head of fish in the river anyway I don't believe.

Good many groups now seem alive to the problems on the Wye and although a bit late in the day every little helps I suppose though one wonders just are the responsible bodies up for the job. As for the Navigation section of EA/NRW they seem impotent to have any control over the playgroundthat the Wye is now becoming with no respect whatsoever for riparian rights or those of the anglers who actually pay to use it.   Live and let live someone said -well that works both ways and when anglers are denied the ability to carry out their sport in any meaningful way then we should demand that right from the powers that be.
