Storms around yesterday but with no noticeable effect though a major rainfall event is forecast overnight into tomorrow with gale force winds  Will the Met Office be right this time I wonder?.

Mercifully no further reports of major fish deaths but the middle and lower river is still full of green algae and it wouldn't take much to set off a major fish kill I suspect, assuming there is a head of fish to kill of course which is open to speculation.

Every man and his dog now talking about Wye  pollution but nothing but silence from NRW/EA as far as I know as yet.  Not sure just what they can do in the short term quiet honestly.   Difficult times alright.
