Interesting extract from the early 1800s regard a strange practice on the Wye of what seems to be the sharing of the Wye salmon and other fish caught around Holme Lacy and Strangeford sent to me by Geoff Maynard.   The whole concept couldn't happen today could it.  uge amount of history concerning the Wye and it's salmon.
