Some rain in the upper catchment at last with about two feet of water on its way down.  Should affect the lower beats tomorrow so lets hope it moves some of the fish still down there further upriver so others can get a chance.  A fish was caught yesterday at Goodrich  12lb on fly to Gillie Mike Sutton so a few are getting through.

LATEST   3 fish reported yesterday from Redbrook to Simon  and two others reported on the 30th
for Simon McLucas on a red Francis  10 --13lbs.
Well done WUF you can report something after all!!

========================================================================
I not WUF have re commenced work on the Ballsgate weir on the Lugg.   A pretty big operation which to me seems something of a white elephant for the results it might produce.  precious little to take advantage of it these days regarding salmon and the elvers certainly didn't need help to get over it.  The talk is of pristine habitat above -however don't forget to mention the head of American signal crayfish.

Fish even got to the top of the river in those days too.
