No more rain overnight and levels dropping on the upper river with still some colour. Lower beats not affected that much but again some colour from the minor tributaries. We have another band of rain overnight according to the met Office so lets hope that it will make a bigger contribution than the last rainfall. Remains to be seen just how effective those fish held up on the lower beats will be able to populate the rest of the river,
-No lifting of the ridiculous Covid travel restrictions until early next month. Is anyone really still observing this ridiculous measure??
nb Dont forget the WSA letter to your AM \and PM

Couple of pics kindly sent to me of a large Lamprey found dead on the lower river. River usually has a good head of breeding Lampreys but they often go unseen.. Always used to go and see them off the bridge at Boughrood where they seemed to spawn in the same place every year. Had a very interesting afternoon I recall at Glanwye watching them perform the excavation for their redd. Impressive just how large the stones are they are able to shift with their hoover like mouths. Ugly devils really.
