Nothing reported from the Wye yesterday yet though I did hear rumours of a 20plus fish from the lower river.

With the state of the river it no surprise that so little is being caught.  With high temeperature and no rain forecast for the next 10 days at least  there will soon I suspect be calls for the suspension of fishing in the interests of fish survival.  As for the algae and the abstraction  still going full pelt one wonders just what the future of this river is.  Does it actually have one?

However the Usk produced another fish for Andrew Llewellyn   12lbs on fly from the Isca waters.
