Another very warm day ahead and the higher water temperatures are inevitably having effect on catches.   Most fish will tend to lie doggo during these conditions with just the odd one prepared to have a go, mostly early and late though is salmon fishing absolutely anything is possible at times.

River dropped away a lot the last few days despite the short lived  2" surge of dam water.  I'm not sure the couple of years spent by John Lawson investigating a new flow regime and which was much lauded at WUF meetings was really mean't to be like that.  There always were dam releases at times of low flow anyway but apart from that we were assured that spates episodes could be prolonged too., I can't personally see any difference or evidence of this.

Water dirty on the lower beats and brown algae showing its ugly face in some areas. River pitifully low on upper beats though with numbers of now ssomewhat stale. fish showing in some areas.

Another fish yesterday evening from the Pulpit at Aramstone to Stan Turner.  Taken on a F?C a rather 'tatty' 17lb 1/4pounder. Caught before perhaps?
Wyesham 12lbs for Tim Risedale
Bigswier now on 91 apparently.
