Looks like another fine day with perhaps a week or more of settled conditions meaning the lower river will soon come into ply.  Still no fish reported from yesterday -surely there will be today.Never wise to predict anything in salmon fishing though as you, and the salmon  can easily make a fool of you, as some have continually found out over they  years of speculation and false claims.

LATEST.  First fish reported today from Llangoed just above Boughrood on the upper river.
This from the WUF website

2:14pm

: Llangoed Pool: large fish 47 1/2" long, 27" girth returned safely. Single hook FC

Thats it - I preumse we shall get the name of the angler shortly. Does anyone report a fish and not say who caught it. We had too many of those last year from this same source.
I have no reason to doubt it's not genuine and at 47 inches is a very big fish. A cast of my 32pounder  fish looking down at me now was only 44 inches so it must be well into the mid thirties and possibly plus some. Congratulations to someone. But who??   Seems there may be a photo -be great to see it.  had to happen sooner or later.

CLICK ON THE BELOW LINK FOR DETAILS OF THIS YEARS ONE DAY WSA SALMON COURSE.    Have a good day out in pleasant company on a nice stretch of river and perhaps even learn something.  Hope to see you there.
