11 1/2lb fly caught fish recorded from Backney to Laurence Birkin this morning.

11lb fresh fish from upper Bigswier from Little Run on fly for Spencer John.

Whilst the recent dry and sunny weather may not have been that good for fishing it certainly brought the canoe fraternity out in big numbers.  It;s obvious to anyone that numbers are increasing all the time, year on year and having a severe affect on anglers with Glasbury to Whitney, the Hereford and Ross areas and increasingly on downstream beats too.   No hint of control is on the horizon and WAG Splash funding on the Wye and Usk appears to have been spent somehow with no good outcome TO anglers whatsoever.
