Well conditions remain the same as levels slowly drop but still nothing from the middle river and only two reported -so far- yesterday. Strange old game this fishing. See what today brings. Warm, overcast with just a hint of drizzle -ideal.!!
A fish today from Abernant. about 9lbs on fly to Mark Allsop.
Another from Ingeston again. this time a 15/16lb fish to Mike Parry.
Rocks apparently report five salmon last week. best 23lbs to Richard Thomas.
12lb fish from Glanwye to Ed Brown.
Another fish too for Nick Hope from Caerwnon. A fly caught hen fish 39" long 22/23lbs estimate
Rumours of two more from Lysdinam yesterday.??
The SNR smolts from the Nant Gwyn pond near Builth are ready to go and will be released tomorrow.
Smolt are already leaving the Redbrook pond to so I understand.
. Seems many anglers are still not aware of the need to lookout for fin clipped 2sw fish.from the first SNR release. There are some who wouldn't report any if they did and I suppose there are others who wouldn't know what an adipose fin is anyway..
