A very good first day on the Wye. Most fish caught early when overcast. Heavy open end feeder, time bomb method, pellet hook bait.

Above might one day read:  " Salmon angler in critical condition having been felled by a heavy time bomb' feeder cast from the opposite bank.  Hospital doctor asked what the strange smell was, "thats not salmon thats halibut' whispered a nurse who works in a tackle shop in her spare time.  LOL.
