Been some heavy rain around all day today. Bound to have some effect - but how much?
Just a hint of a rise starting on the upper river but I suspect it will not be too much- at the moment anyway but I have tio say its still raining here and in the headwaters.
Three fish reported from the Nyth and Tyrcelyn today 8-9 1nd 12lbs by same angler - but who?
One from Glanwye to Tom Holt 10lbs.
One yesterday from the Spreadeagle 14lbs to Michael Howard
Rain only just eased off now. Not sure it been too heavy in the upper reaches but the Ithon is starting to rise and so has the Lynffi. Can't say its looking good for tomorrow and the lower river looks likely to fare the worst. The Monnow will screw t below Monmouth for sure. Sorry chaps.
I see one of our stalkers, one Rigsby, who quotes stuff from this report on other forums has questioned whether our released smolts are late -perhaps due to " arrested development due to unnatural rearing.". Don't worry Tom old chap the fish were great and on time, go and have lie down. Has anyone seen any quantity of wild ones migrating yet I wonder.? Oh I expect Tom has.
