More fish from yesterday.

18lbs from Holme Lacy 3 to Colin Richardson
15lbd from Wyesham and and another fish from Backney of 18lbs

TODAY.
12lb fish at Courtfield to Jason Conlon.
22lb from the Rectory.
Two at 15 & 16lbs from Wyesham,
Another from Backney of 14 1/2lbs
All on Flying Cs

Conditions remain much the same with levels creeping down despite the rain.
Seems most people are still spinning but the fly will work well in the right place.. Remember it caught the seasons first fish and whilst spinning was always traditional on the lower river on the upper beats it was quite normal earlier in the season despite low temperatures.

Reports still coming in of big trout up to 4lbs or so in many areas especially downstream. Experienced rods confirm they are brown trout and not sea trout as seems to be regularly reported. Fish are pale after all the heavy flood water and will regain normal 'brownie'colouring' as the season progresses and things warm up.
