River dropping and clearing well on the upper and middle beats. Only problem is it looks like some heavy rain late on and overnight is likely. May kill things for a few days if it happens.

Good article in this months Trout and Salmon regarding Maurice Hudson who most of you know.
In particular the paragraph where he was asked how the Wye has changed over the years. Put's things into perspective for those new to the river and who glaze over when you try and explain what a magnificent river this once was.
This is worth a read, if only to give you nightmares as to NRWs incompetence.
