Upper river and tributaries are all rising and obviously coloured.  Not a massive rise by any means but will stop fishing for a few days for sure and that's without and further rain which seems unlikely..

Don Macer Wright reports another fish from Courtfield. 20lb plus on a single hook f/c.  It now seems that this fish was not actually landed as such.  Should it be counted ?????????
Also a report of a fish from Bigswier.  No details yet.

Coarse fisherman at the Red Lion need to look out for a tackle thief in the shape of an adult swan.

Apparently it flew across an anglers line taking all before it.  Last seen heading of trailing the rod behind it.  Any information !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.


LATEST   Really heavy storms during the day have finished off the river for some time now.  It's a brown filthy mess everywhere but especially the lower river.  So that's it for a while.
Anyone seen any reduction in silt levels after all the farming initiatives,  didn't think so.  It's called pis==ing into the wind.  Wye has always run brick red when in spate and always will.  As for the latest initiative, 'climate proofing', let's not go there there shall we.
