River levels up another foot or so on the upper river around Builth wells - water also from the Irfon with some colour.  Only a small lift so far downstream but will sure to rise a little more. Conditions may be difficult the rest of the week.

Best start for 20+ years according to WUF.  Quick to try and get the credit and no doubt the phrase will be repeated endlessly for the rest of the year by them.   Would it have happened given the conditions anyway who knows but lets hope it continues whatever the reasons
There wer 8 fish in total with others from Ross James 15lbs at Courtfield and Lawrence French from Dean and Chapter.

Things back to normal today with just the one fish reported. 18lbs to Don Macer Wright at Courtfield on a f/c. Suspicions too that a couple of the reported fish could have been kelts.   I don't know -I only offer up the suggestion
