Bit more on Beavers below.  .  Why not let them know what you think.  As usual nothing much from WUF or NRW on this issue.  Where are they going to get 'wild' beavers from I wonder..
If they are 'ranched ' stocked out animals will they be viable parents, breeders,.  Who will teach them to build dams.  What about their genetics.   They ask similar questions of salmon.  Will we now have beaver 'scientists' all with a different viewpoint.  God help us!!

The Welsh Beaver Project is investigating the feasibility of bringing wild beavers (Castor fiber) back to Wales. This work is being led by the Wildlife Trusts in Wales as part of their Living Landscapes strategy.
This website aims to provide reliable useful information on the European Beaver.  It has been developed in coordination with farming, forestry, fisheries and conservation interests as part of a cooperative consultation exercise.
Here you can find out more about beavers, download reports and get the details of the public events we will be holding.
We are keen to hear what you think about the reintroduction of beavers to Wales.  Please send us your comments by phone, email or letter.
