So we have a moderate spate in progress with most of the catchment having rain, though the Ithon missed much of it it seems.  Is it enough?   Well its bound to help, clear out the algae and all the rubbish that's collected the last couple of months so its bound to be a very dirty one.    However it needs to be sustained for a while and not drop away too quickly.  A second spate shortly after this one would be ideal.

Question is once the fish that were held up in the lower river get spread out throughout the rest of the river just how many actually are there and what impact will they have on catch returns.

LATEST.   River falling now in the upper catchment but more rain forecast tomorrow evening,
