Conditions remain excellent almost everywhere on the middle and upper river and more fish are being seen in several areas.

Some indeed were caught.  There was another fish from Ingeston -more details later.
A 17lb Cock fish for Mr Morrell from Whitney where another was lost.
A fish from the Rectory to Paul Suter- 14lbs on fly and a 36" fish on a devon minnow to Mike Beach from the HDAA Vineyard Stream.

(The Ingeston fish was 12lbs and taken by regular rod Mike Pritchard)

There should be more today as the signs are there are a few fish around at last.

Latest.  20lb plus fish from the Red Lion this morning.  Rich Williams.

2 more fish reported from Backney on the WUF site but Mr Nobody again? so who knows. Its looks very much like the same post reported some time ago  30lb and 15lbs with another large fish lost???????????????????????????????????????????????

The Wye Salmon Fishery Owners held an emergency Committee meeting yesterday to discuss their response to the NRW anti stocking proposals.   Can you beleive, well yes many of us can, that they voted not to give a response.  This despite the fact that the proposal could knock on the head the SNR scheme most of them voted for.  More detail later hopefull

ONCE AGAIN THEY HAVE BEHAVED DISGRACEFULLY AND HAVE NO REGARD FOR THE RIVER, ITS ANGLERS OR INDEED THE MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS WHO HAVE HAD TO RESPOND THROUGH THE W.S.A INITIATIVE.     PUPPETS WITH THE WUF HAND UP THEIR BACKSIDES IS THE ONLY WAY TO DESCRIBE SOME OF THEM.  THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND THE PRESENT CHAIRMAN IS JUST A JOKE IN MY OPINION..
