The poor conditions remain  as I am sure most of you know.   Iwas at Hay on wWe this morning and the amount of canoe s launching there was quite amazing.  That section between Hay and Whitney and down to Moccas would have been a no go area for anglers assuming there had been anything to fish for,   We pay a licence to fish and everyone tramples all over us for free.  How long must this go on before anyone will do anything about it.

I understand a well known upper beat is coming onto the market shortly  and though there may be somewhat less river traffic there the lack of fish in recent years seems certain to devalue it considerably to what it was once worth.  Would you buy a beat for salmon fishing today, unless that is you had more money than sense

Can't understand why owners sit back and do nothing while watching the value of their assets go literally down the drain.  What happened to the Wye Owners Association I wonder.  Well some of us know why when the virtually handed over their responsibilities to WUF plus no doubt a considerable amount of money to salve their consciences and get someone else to do the job.A  complete lack of leadership in what should be the powerful organisation it once was. I suspect they regret that now and perhaps others might sell up as things go further down the drain with less fish, more canoe traffic, more trespass and litter.  Welcome to the Wye 2022
