Well the heat arrived as forecast and yet a couple of salmon anglers were out yesterday on the lower river.   Need to think hard as to what they were doing really.  As for the fishery owner??????

Called in at hay castle yesterday lunchtime to see the day organised by friends of the upper Wye.  Mostly stall selling food, icecream and drinks/  One stall for recruiting to the world Wildlife fund and one from Friends of the Wye   Had a little chat at that stall but seems they mostly concentrae on water sampling of various sorts similar to WSA  WUF and others.   I think NRW know the problem alright and have been told the sample taken are not acceptable to them as they may have been contaminated or taken in the 'wrong' way.  If that's true seems a little pointless.   To hot to stay and isten to Simon evans, probably heard iy all before anyway.
