Heavy rain which continued for most of this morning means that the Wye and tributaries are on the rise

 One can only hope it will not translate into a big flood which may cause serious damage to any spawning redd which might be vulnerable.    Often a big problem on the Wye and which severely impacts on the survival of eggs and fry and I believe is one of the main reasons why Wye catches used to fluctuate so much now and way back.  We shall have to wait and see.
