Status Quo remains though there is talk of more autumnal conditions next week with heavy rain and gales but with the Met Office track record recently be interesting to see if it transpires..

I hear that loval Hereford MP Jesse Norman has raised the plight of the Wye in the Commons so lets hope that might get some action though with recent events they have a lot on the agenda and we will come bottom of the pecking order I suspect.

Anyone buying a salmon rod licence next season?

Dear Local Fisheries Group Members

Please find attached a copy of the formal notice advising that existing rod licence duties will remain unchanged in 2022/23. Should you wish to formally object to the fixing of the duties then please refer to the notice for further information (we would prefer emailed correspondences if possible due to continuing Covid-19 restrictions limiting access to our offices). Note that any person who wishes to object to the proposed duties must send a statement of their objection to be received no later than October 25th 2021.

Licence duties have not increased since 2017. A full review of current duties will be undertaken in 2021/22 with a view to making changes from 1st April 2023. We will provide further details in due course.

 Regards

Caroline Moscrop
