Still all quiet on the river in all areas   really low now on upper beats.  Might be some rain later in the week with perhaps thunderstorms so we can only hope.

I spoke to the wild swimming lady yesterday but only had a short chat as she is on holiday apparently.  She seems aware of the pollution problems which make it more strange that she should wish to encourage others to swim in it.   She is apparently trying to do something about it and is to be, or has been, on the Panorama programme regarding it.

Also spoke to several public bodies suggesting the public should be made more aware of the dangers but there was little interest overall.  The EA as usual were a waste of time  and a Mr Shiek who I spoke to seemed unable to grasp what the situation was so I hung up on him.   I just feel that sooner or later someone is going to be really ill and it could be a child.

The sewage outfall in full flow  below Hay Bridge.   Would you swim or canoe in it, yet we too fish in it.  Food for thought
