No further reports of any catches so far so the silent spring continues,

We all look forward to when restrictions are fully lifted (29th in England) and everyone can fish where they prefer.

However that of course brings with it another problem inasnuch as other water users, desperate to renew their waterborne activity will no doubt be out in droves with unbridled enthusiasm and this will of course lead to much frustration, possible conflict and who knows what else.

For decades this problem has been unresolved because no one really has the balls to really try and bring some measure of control.   Upper owners have tried, and still are trying, to get the useless NRW to enforce the no navigation right down as far as Hay on Wye which they themselves admit is the true position.    WUF sold us down the river on canoeing as they did on the Usk so we can no longer look to them for any help I suspect on this matter.    Not sure what is it they actually do anymore!!

As for the rest of the river there is a useless canoeists guide which no one takes any notice of and as usual there are no means of enforcement by NRW/EA who supposedly control the navigation.  Could well be a difficult summer in more ways than one sadly.
