Two fish reported yesterday. Redbrook 13lbs to Joe Cobley on a shrimp fly and 15lbs on a |Red Francis for Simon McLucas.

However sign of a fresh algae outbreak on the Lugg yesterday evening and this morning lower river is described as having a dreadful colour.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Another picture from the past, 1912 in fact and a Wye record at that time.  47lbs from Martins Pool at Symonds Yat.. Makes one wonder how they managed to land fish like this with the tackle they had available then.

_________________________________________________________________________________Nothing stays the same does it.  My brother sent me a video yesterday of three or four carp in the canal we used to fish as children.  There were never any in that section then just roach, perch and a few bream  The carp now are 25lbs plus and attracted a different sort of angler.   One  - Polish immigrants looking and fishing for a meal and then the fanatical bivvie boys with their boilies, bolt rigs and overnight stays.  Result of the latter is that two swans have been found dead having picked up boilie hookbaits while the idiots were asleep.   Not fished as we once knew it thats for sure.
