Some rain overnight but not all areas seem to have caught it, just the southwest of the region.
River Irfon rose quickly this morning and has a dirty 2'spate which may yet rise further.
See photo below.



No more reported catches overnight although Bigsweir report six fish in April and five so far in June but no further details.

Talking of Wye salmon I was fortunate to have a peek at the Diary of Robert Pashley recently. and came across this entry for the the 4th and 5th of September 1932

Saturday 4th   Fish of 27-21-15-12-12
Sunday 5th September  Fish of 35-15-16-16-12-11-10-10 31and 16lbs

How the hell did he dispose of them I wonder - \Billingsgate perhaps?
Begs the question just how many fish were in the river in those days
In a week in A|pril that year he had 30 fish fishing mainly at The Vanstone and Doghole, Goodrich
