Small spate is running off now on the upper beats and clarity is not too bad at all.  Lower beats being affected by the rise now but it won't be a great deal by the time it reaches the bottom beats.
As for the bottom beats and their catches I wish I could tell you more but for some reason they are keeping things very close to their chests.   Fish ARE being caught there in reasonable numbers too but they don't want you to know that, possibly for some of the reasons I suggested yesterday.

However it's difficult to determine just what numbers the run of 2sw fish contains as it can seem more substantial than it really is when they are contained in a short length of river  The springers were either not there or have hunkered down somewhere.   Personally don't think they were there in any numbers in the first place.

Geoff Hadley reports another fish around 12lbs on Friday.
