Lower temperatures and a little rain in the form of showers but that's it.   River temperatures have dropped somewhat but still probably too high for fish safety.  WUF did recommend a cessation of fishing during this time which was the commonsense thing to do though not everyone heeded it apparently..

However there was apparently a fly caught fish at upper Bigswier yesterday but again no real details


    Interesting clipping regarding Old Tom Stanton. What a guy he must have been.  A brief look into the past and how much Baillifs in those days were up against it on the upper Wye at spawning time.
