Still no change in conditions obviously which continue to worsen day by day. There are fish in the bottom river in reasonable numbers it seems but not surprisingly refusing to take under the present conditions. Algae still a problem from Ross downstream apparently but not too bad above.
Surely its time to ban the abstractor's though they would claim its another nail in the coffin of their livelihood. So which comes first? Them or the river and its salmon and all the jobs and livelihoods who depend on that too.?
Seems that Scotland is off to a good start in many places with fish that ran previously now being caught in good numbers on rivers like the Tay and Tweed.

Below is an interesting article that someone kindly sent me from the Shooting Times way back in 1953. By the way I understand from anglers who fished back then that the gillie mention in that article may well have caught more fish over they ears than did Robert Pashley. Anyone know much about the exploits of Ivor Williams.
