Few more from yesterday,

Upper Hill court  2 x7lbs
Wyesham  2 x 7lbs.  Aspecial mention here to Alan Shufflebotham who took one of these 7pounders on his 86th birthday.  Well done Alan we all wish we could emulate you. Happy Birthday from RWGA and WSA.

See below a fish yesterday from the Golden Mile to Nigel Smith  17lbs
Tim McFarlane also had a 7pounder from the same beat.

Saw this today on the salmon fishing forum from WUF Director Simon Evans;

"The encouraging thing is that this year further reinforces the improving trend. I have said many times that there will be peaks and troughs in rod catch, that has always been the nature of the Wye, but as the long as the peaks are higher and the troughs not so low we can look forward to good times ahead. For the first time since the mid 80's the underlying trend is up.

No time to rest, the river still has plenty of problems and impending threats, but we have solutions and are making progress in all areas except climate."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just wonder whether he considers this season catch to be a peak or a trough?  If anyone thinks its anything like it used to be please think again.
Anyway its heartening to know he has all the answers for the Wye's problems, even if he knows what they all are,.  Surely they could do something about climate change doesn't the almighty one on his shoulder know everything.!!!!!
