Overnight rain has put the upper river around Rhayader up by about two feet.  The Irfon is also rising and is very dark and peaty so expect levels to rise in all areas eventually.  More heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow.Spate running of pretty quickly and not too much colour. effect should be limited with a downgrade on tomorrows forecast said to be less than first forecast.

Wyesham 2.  Andrew Sobzak 4.5lb grilse and Alex Nichol 9lb both on fly.

Wide-reaching US Federal Court of Appeals Decision Impacts Pacific Salmon

In the Pacific Northwest of the US, a Federal court has ruled that all those culverts that do not allow fish passage are interfering with treaty rights, and need to be fixed. Could this same argument be applied elsewhere?
