Friday 3 June 2016

Conditions stable.  Fine sunny warm day. Despite a couple of fish from glanwye very little, as expected, seems to have made it to the upper river following the small dirty spate.
Despite the much lauded new water 'management' regime I'm not sure anyone has noticed much difference either in compensation discharges or prolonging of spates.  Plain fact is if there is no water to spare from the Elan valley we won't be getting any, or at least enough to make a difference.  Another of those initiatives heralded as a success when quite frankly it's a damp squib., damp being the operative word.

LATEST.   How strange that having mention the compensation water issue yesterday hey preston WUF anounce there is one starting today frfom the Elan reservoirs today.  Coincidence?.  Please let me know if anyone notices a difference below Builth wells.

A fish from Ingeston today 15lbs to Gwyn Slade.
