Barely a couple of inches on the river after yesterdays rain. Today's rain not amounted to much so far anyway.
LATEST.
Well the rain did arrive throughout the morning and the upper river around Newbridge is now badly coloured up although not yet that high.  Ithon also similar.  Make the most of today for the upper and middle Wye beats and downstream beats will be affected later,

Ingeston.12 and  13lb fish to David Slade
7lb from Upper Bigswier on F/C
Seven reported from Wyesham

LATER STILL.

Its all over for a  while now guys. Today's rain has shot the upper river up,the tributaries Ithon and Irfon too and its still rising so a good spate in progress. Exciting times perhaps for the upper river when it falls. Still someone will complain about fishing days lost etc. etc.   Can't please everyone.
GET SOME BROWNIE POINTS IN FOR WHEN IT DROPS.

A fish yesterday from the Carrots for Dave Roberts.  1Olb on a Mepps. One lost too.
Two late fish reported from the Spreadeagle over the weekend. both 12lbs
One from Goodrich yesterday to Mr Halbert  12 and coloured. Mepps.
Below a picture of Tim Woods fish from the Rock Pool, Rectory/ It weighed 11lbs.
