YESTERDAY.

Big day at Bigswier yesterday who ended up the day with twelve fish as fish came in on the tide.

Ken Powell 16lbs & 22lbs (S)

Steve Brady 8lbs (S) & 14lbs (F)

Mike Humphreys 15lbs (F)

John Madell 15lbs (F)

Tim Bevan 15lbs (F)

Peter Chilton 9lbs (S)

Reg Lawton 15lbs (F)

Peter Hickman  two at14lbs (S) & 9lbs (F).

A couple of fish were lost including a very big fish to Peter Hickman who saw the fish momentarily before it snagged and broke the 29lb braid. Tough luck..

Two more from Cadora backs 15lb fly and 11lb spinning.

River still carrying extra water but with not much backup from the headwaters so rise should be fairly short lived and another day should see the upstream beats in action if the fish are there in the numbers suggested and if they have time to get there before levels drop away. Colour not too bad already around Hay on Wye as it starts to drop back.
