Yesterday evenings rain, although persistent in places was rather light and has had no significant effect on levels other than a rise of a couple of inches on the upper river. At the moment it seems unlikely to be anything more than that and catches should continue.
LATEST
Todays unforecast heavy rain has now affected the river with a rise of over 18" plus  on the upper river with some colour.
With good runs of 2sw and larger fish entering the river on good tides its a good chance for fish to continue running and give the middle and upper river a better chance.

BIGSWIER had ten fish today I understand - details to follow
.
Three more today from Wyesham  17 and 8lbs to Gordon Richards and 17lb to Peter Chambers on fly.
One more yesterday evening to Joe Cobley on a mepps
.
Cadora Back three at 12lbs on fly and 6 and 10 on a F/C  Maurice Hudson

Two more from Wyesham David Pugh  11/1/2lbs and Peter Chambers 13 1/2lb on fly.

Bigswier  are now around 50 and Wyesham 80 for the season.
