Conditions continue to slowly improve especially on the upper and middle river.  Still no reports of  the first fish though there are reports of a fish lost at Courtfield at the weekend.  It must surely happen soon.  Long gone are the days of 1,000 fish before the end of March.  Ponder on that and realise why we old bu+++rs are not that impressed by today's catches and reckless claims.

Floods take away but also deposit.    A huge raft of debrtis up to 5feet deep left behind after the winter spates.  Any volunteers??????
