With a more settled weather forecast conditions will obviously improve especially on the upper river which now seems even more likely to produce the first fish with  some middle, and the lower beats hampered by extra water and colour from the Lugg and Frome.

Amongst them is a copy of SMALL RIVER FLY FISHING by James Evans who came from Lucton, Herefordshire    It majors on Welsh border streams  and gives many good fly patterns and was printed in 1972.It's an interesting and fairly scarce book.  It's on Ebay but if anyone is interested please let me know.  (01497821889)
