Some interesting stuff below.   However SHOCK/HORROR the first item includes a river system in Maine that unveils a five year plan for salmon restoration that is based mainly on a HATCHERY of all things. As in all things USA they don't mess about and penny pinch. They at least to try and do it properly on a scale that could be effective.
Those of a nervous disposition perhaps had been not watch.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howland Dam Fundraising Goal Achieved

The Howland Dam Bypass is the last major step in a Penobscot River restoration effort that is one of the greatest watershed restoration projects of the 21st century in North America. Canadian Angler Hall of Fame Welcomes Wilfred Carter

Call for Public Comment on Environmental Assessment of Large NL Aquaculture Expansion

A massive expansion of 11 new aquaculture sites is planned for Placentia Bay on Newfoundland's south coast, and raising concerns about its negative impacts on threatened wild Atlantic salmon.. Until March 26, the public can comment on the plan.  To respond, send your comments to:

Scottish Petition Raised to Protect wild Salmon from Sea Lice
