Rain eventually arrived with a decent spate now on.  Mixture of Ithon clay and Irfon peat so its a pretty dire colour.  Starting to drop now on the upper river but more rain could be on the way.
Should be interesting when this drops off though in all honesty most fish will be pretty coloured up apart from the odd grilse.  We shall see what impact  the 'lots' of grilse reported on the lower beats actually has, I have to say there is nearly a 100 miles of river to stock and very rarely does the expected bonanza materialize.
