Whitney Court. Fish from beat 3 to Cledwyn Davies and beat 6 to Mr S Pinter.  Both on fly.
as on other beats other fish showing too,
Plenty of Shad still showing on upper/middle beats plus sea lampreys too.

Fine warm sunny weather predicted today and much the same tomorrow.

Latest.    Early yet but no fish reported so far today. With a good head of fish in the river its as though someone /something has thrown a switch and put the fish off. Apart from the odd exception the coarse fishing start has not been much to write home about.  No doubt having said that some beat will have a bonanza tomorrow.

Over Glasbury bridge this morning about 11.30am   Horrendous amount of canoeists about to set off.  Easily 100 plus and a pity I couldn't get a photograph.,. Some on the river, most on the beach prior to launching.  Absolutely no chance of any serious  fishing the stretch below . A scandalous situation, especially when Splash funding amounting to around £7000 I understand was doled out to help solve the problem.  1/2 hour reduction in launching times is the only visible result so far -not that anyone takes and notice of it anyway, and one wonders how all the money was spent, what on and by whom.?  More importantly just how long can it be allowed to continue.

I understand Mr Mott's putcher rank will be operating again this season and are being allowed to catch and kill 50 fish with no sign of any appeal by the EA to the judgement recently handed just at the moment. What can you say ?
