Salmon continue to enter the river, some with sea lice and still with some good sized fish amongst them.  levels are dropping away now so lower beats are the most likely scorers though a fish could still come from anywhere.  A few grilse have figured in catches so lets see what proportion of the rod catch they provide this season.
With the total around 600, something I don't think even the most optimistic would have expected (sighs or relief all round) it just shows you cannot pre guess what successive years will bring though I understand someone has a graph predicting 2,000 fish next year.  A brave man!!!

Bigswier are still regularly picking up fish, now on 107 and Coedithel has had several too including one yesterday (No details?)
A fish today from Wyesham on fly  ???
Redbrook. 15lbs on fly to Maurice Hudson.
A nice 16lb fish on fly yesterday to Andrew Hepworth-Smith from a middle Wye beat.

Late report from Thomas Wood/Courtfield.
Week starting 6th June.
  3 fish 18-12 and 10 to  a guest ?
Two also to Don Macer Wright 12 and 9lbs from Courtfield.
Salmon syndicate now ended for the year on this beat.

Although some rain is forecast for tomorrow it appears unlikely to have any effect.  I suppose it's too much to ask that this season almost ideal conditions could continue for the rest of the summer months.
